Reduce Dropped Calls with New Wilson Signal Boosters

Posted on May 22nd 2014

While cell service providers always strive to strengthen their signal coverage, weak signal will always plague those of us who are located far from cellular towers or in buildings that don't allow the signal to pass through. Thankfully, there are signal booster kits available that can significantly reduce dropped calls, improve voice quality and increase data speeds. These boosters are now even better! New FCC regulations took affect May 1st that required signal booster manufacturers to add increased safegaurds to better protect wireless networks from signal interference.

CAFL now carries all of the newest FCC-Approved signal booster models from Wilson Electronics, the leader in cellular signal boosters. Whether you require a solution for weak single in a single room or home, your car or a large office building, we have you covered!

For your small office or a single room

Do you find yourself constantly walking to the window to get a better signal? We suggest the Wilson 4G Desktop Wireless Amplifier Kit. This is an ideal option for wirelessly boosting the signal in a single room.

For your vehicle

So what do these regulation mean to you?
Your next booster purchase must be a kit (amplifier, inside antenna, outside antenna, cabling). Additionally, the kits must be registered before use so that the user can cooperate with cellular providers in the rare event an interference or malfunction occurs. Registering is easy and takes seconds. For your convenience, links to all the major U.S. Carriers can be found here. Older style boosters purchased before the May 1st date are exempt from these new FCC regulations but registration is still encouraged in order to help minimize future disruptions.

Why The Recent Change?
These new regulations aim to benefit everyone. For years, U.S. cellular providers have objected to poorly designed third party boosters that disrupt and sometimes damage the performance of their cellular towers. Well established booster manufacturers like Wilson Electronics maintained that their products included safeguards that protected the carrier towers from any interference. The new standards hope to put an old debate to rest and help support the obvious need for these products that aid in closing the signal gap.
