Smart Card Reader Security Device
This Smart Card Reader Security Device can prevent unathorized people from using your BlackBerry and accessing secure information. Many organizations use Smart Cards for secure access to computers, areas, information etc.. This Smart Card Reader incorporates that concept and applies it to the BlackBerry. You can set the BlackBerry to only work when the Smart Card is in close proximity. This is communicated to the device via Bluetooth wireless technology. As soon as the Smart Card is out of range, the device will lock up and be unusable. Once you are back within range, you must type in a password to access the BlackBerry. This "two-factor authentication" provides outstanding controls for organizations with security concerns.
