It's official. Apple will announce the latest additions to its popular product lines on Sept. 10. A media invitation sent out Tuesday featuring bubbles of various colors behind a bright white Apple logo simply says "This should brighten everyone's day."  Apple is expected to unveil two different iPhones at next week's event: a cheaper version of its popular phone, dubbed iPhone 5C, and the next-generation iPhone 5, or iPhone 5S.

iPhone 5C all colorsAccording to various rumors, videos and leaked photos, the low-end phone will have a plastic casing and sell at a lower price point than other recent iPhones. Current estimates put the price between $349 and $399 without a contract. To put this into perspective, an 8GB iPhone 4 costs $450 without a contract. The low-end phone will reportedly come in a variety of colors, including white, blue, pink, yellow and green.

Leaked photos of a higher-end iPhone indicate that the iPhone 5S will also come in various colors, including white, black, grey, and gold (from photos it looks like it’s more of a champagne color, but several sources are calling it gold). Also rumored for the phone are a fingerprint scanner for increased security, a bigger LED flash, better camera, and an A7 processor to make the new iPhone run faster than the last. The cost of this phone is expected to run between $199 and $399, depending on storage (i.e. 8GB, 16GB, 32 GB).

With the announcement just days away, evidence about the unconfirmed iPhone 5C and iPhone 5S is mounting. The video below featuring a hands-on look at both phone models makes a pretty good case for what we'll see on Sept. 10. Rumor has it the phones shown in the video will be available  Sept. 20.
