How to Clean OtterBox Cases

Posted on Jun 29th 2020

The CDC recommends disinfecting frequently touched surfaces to eliminate bacteria and viruses. If you’re like us, you’ve probably been wiping down your phone – but is the case sanitized?

OtterBox sent us some helpful tips for cleaning your phone cases that we’d like to pass along.

Remove your case and clean with a disinfectant wipe. Be sure to use a product with at least 70% alcohol, and wipe it down thoroughly, getting in all the nooks and crannies. Don’t worry about damaging your case – OtterBox has done some serious testing and concluded that wiping down with disinfecting wipes won’t do any harm. If you are in need of some device disinfecting wipes, we are loving this product

Soak your case in warm, soapy water. Give it a good scrub, then pat it dry with a paper towel.

Easy as that! Be sure to clean your case, as well as your phone, regularly, as devices are a hotbed for bacteria and viruses.

If you are looking for a quick fix, we also have a UV phone sanitizer that not only disinfects, but charges your phone!
