Best New Products and Gadgets from CES 2013

Posted on Feb 1st 2013

Last month we shared our product release predictions for CES 2013, held in Las Vegas in early January. After carefully reviewing the best products showcased on the conference floor, we’re back this month with our favorite product picks for business products, iPhone cases, and smartphones. From iLuv's 10 iPad charge and sync security enclosure to Sony's high-end waterproof smartphone, we're keeping you on the cutting edge of the wireless accessory industry.

Best Business Product: iLuv MultiCharger-X

One of the most useful business products we found at CES 2013 is the iLuv MultiCharger X, a security enclosure that can charge and sync up to 10 iPads at once. The MultiCharger-X is an excellent solution for businesses and schools that deploy the iPad as a business tool. In addition to providing a secure place to store and charge iPads overnight or when not in use, the enclosure allows users to sync all of the iPads to a computer at the same time. Users can upload new PDF or Word documents, audio files and software updates from a computer to the iPads all at once instead of wasting time synching them individually. You can also connect up to three MultiChargers to expand the capacity to 30 iPads.

Coolest iPhone Cases: SwitchEasy & LifeProof

It’s not surprising that iPhone and iPad cases were a major category at CES 2013, following last year’s release of the iPhone 5 and iPad mini. In a market saturated with options, it can be hard to decide on the best case for your needs. The iPhone case manufacturers that stood out to us the most at CES 2013 were SwitchEasy and LifeProof. SwitchEasy cases are known for bright colors and unique styles, and cases for the iPhone 5 are no exception. Switcheasy Colors and Bonds are our favorites. LifeProof for iPhone 5 was another big hit, which you can read more about here.

Most Exciting Smartphone: Sony Xperia Z

Sony is searching for ways to become a player in the smartphone industry and they just may have done it with the Sony Xperia Z, expected to be released in the US in March. The Xperia Z will be one of the first waterproof high-end smartphones, making it a great choice for enterprise users who are out in the field as well as consumers looking for an attractive yet highly-durable device. The phone will feature a 5” 1080p HD display, 13MP camera and Android 4.1 Jellybean OS.
