Additional port allows you to plug in a USB charging cable (sold separately) so you can charge your BlackBerry and a spare battery simultaneously
NOTE: The BlackBerry 9000 Bold chargers (mini-USB) will work as the power cord. The 9700 Bold 2 chargers (micro-USB) will not.
