GlobalStar Satellite Phones allow for convenient and reliable communication around the world with affordable airtime rates. When cellular and landline services are not available, GlobalStar is the ideal solution for keeping in touch with friends, family and business associates.

The most common applications for GlobalStar Satellite Phones are:

Emergencies: Should land-based networks fail in a natural disaster etc., satellite phones are an excellent option for backup communication.

International Travel: Satellite phones are often more reliable, affordable and convenient than using a cell phone in foreign countries.

Poor Reception in the US: Many rural areas have little or no cellular signal. GlobalStar phones will work anywhere in the continental US where you can see the sky.

Traveling at Sea: Satellite phones are usually the only communication option on boats when cellular and radio-based methods are out of range. Globalstar service is available in waters near the coast only.

VOICE AND DATA CAPABILITIES
In addition to phone services, you can connect your GSP-1600 to a computer and use it as a wireless Internet connection. Just purchase the Serial Data Kit and you are ready to access e-mail, send faxes and surf the web.
