What products can I buy that will protect my phone from every day wear and tear? Answer:
You can protect your phone with two different types of cases:
Cases are usually made of leather, but they can also be nylon, hydrofoam, neoprene and various other materials. What are the options for carrying my phone on my belt or purse? Answer:
There are many options for carrying your phone on a belt or purse strap.
Cases: Most cases come with either a stationary or swivel belt clip. The stationary clips are built into the case and generally made of the same material. Swivel clips are plastic and can be detached from the case. Some people find swivel clips to be more comfortable and convenient. Plastic Holsters: Plastic holsters are a great option for people who prefer to use their phone without a case. The phone easily slides into the form-fitted holster and is securely held in place. These typically include a stationary or non-detachable swivel belt clip. Plastic Belt Clips: Some phone models offer plastic belt clips that are specifically designed to attach to the phone. If a specialized clip is not available, you can use the Universal Swivel Belt Clip that attaches to the back of any phone with strong adhesive tape. How do I transfer information/numbers/data from one phone to a computer, PDA or another phone? Answer:
Many phones offer a data cable and software that will allow you to connect your phone to your computer so you can transfer data. Some phones allow you to transfer data via Bluetooth wireless technology or infrared parts. If you have any confusion on this topic, please contact us and we will be happy to assist you.
How can I use my phone as a modem? Answer:

How do I determine what technology platform my phone uses? Answer:
Listed below are various cellular service providers. Each provider uses different technologies that are compatible with the phones they sell. For example, if you have a Nokia 3360, it is a TDMA phone and is only sold by TDMA cellular carriers (i.e. AT&T Wireless)
To use this information, look for your cellular service provider and match it with the correct technology [e.g. Cingular (cellular carrier) à GSM/Smartchip (technology)] GSM/Smartchip Providers: Cingular, T-Mobile (VoiceStream), AT&T TDMA Providers: AT&T, Cingular, US Cellular CDMA Providers: Verizon, US Cellular, Sprint PCS Providers: Sprint PCS, Verizon Analog/AMPS Providers: All dual-mode (Digital/Analog) service providers and all providers that do not operate with exclusively digital service (e.g. GSM and PCS). Note: All service providers may not be listed here. What are the differences between battery technologies? Answer:
There are 4 popular types of batteries available for cellular phones.
What are the different ways to charge my phone's battery? Answer:
There are several ways to charge your phone's batteries:
What is the difference between a battery's talk time and stand by time? Answer:
Talk time (TT) refers to the amount of time available when you are actually using your phone. Stand-by time (ST) refers to the time when your phone is turned on but not in use.
Does my battery lose its charge when it's not in use? Answer:
When your battery is not in use, it will slowly lose its charge about 2% a day, depending on the technology. Li Ion and NiCad batteries typically carry the longest shelf life.
Why do battery times vary so much? Answer:
Many factors affect battery talk and stand-by times. Service providers have the capability to select different time interval settings for their system to communicate to your cellular phone. This can take some of the charge out of your battery. Analog phone users may experience less stand-by and talk time. Digital systems are more efficient and often have a "sleep mode" which allows your batteries to last longer while in stand-by mode. If your phone has a retractable antenna, having it fully extended helps to use less power. If you are in a poor coverage area, your phone and its battery are working harder to receive a signal than normal, thus creating a greater drain on you battery. In addition vibrating and wireless web features create a greater drain on the battery, decreasing talk and stand-by times. GSM phones will generally have a longer battery life.
How long do batteries last before they need to be replaced? Answer:
Most batteries will last 1-3 years.
Explain the difference between a complete hands free kit, a portable hands free kit and a headset Answer:
Headsets are the most popular way to use your phone hands-free. There are three different styles to choose from: 1) a small ear bud that fits into your ear with a microphone on the cord, 2) an earpiece that fits over your ear with a boom microphone, or 3) an over-the-head headset with a boom microphone.
Car kits are either portable or installed. Portable: The single unit hands-free kit includes the speaker and microphone. It plugs into your vehicle's cigarette lighter port. Not only will you have hands-free talking, but your phone will also be charging. These kits are easily transferable from car to car. Installed: Complete hands-free kits require professional installation into your car. These kits include a phone cradle, speaker, external microphone and all necessary wiring. The kit is connected to an external antenna (sold separately), which provides enhanced reception. Some kits have the option for a privacy handset. If I order a car kit do I need any additional parts? Answer:
You will need to order a mount and an antenna. The mount attaches the phone holder to a convenient location in your vehicle. The antenna is placed on the outside of the car and provides enhanced reception. You will be prompted to order both during the checkout phase of your online transaction. If you have any questions about this, please contact us.
Do you install car kits? Answer:
We can arrange an installation in the greater Los Angeles area for approximately $90.
